Episode 26 – Further exploration of comic book animation
This time, on the Dorkadia podcast: Charles leaves the microphone in cardioid mode instead of omnidirectional and sounds like he’s joining the conversation from a remote hallway. It doesn’t matter much since Megan and Hannah have plenty to say on the subject of recent DC Comics animated features. Seriously, these nerds have some opinions. Unfortunately, Jason O’Mara is no Kevin Conroy, but Alan Tudyk makes for a decent Superman. It also has Sean Astin as Captain Marvel (whom we must never call Shazam in the presence of Hannah). Decent cast, not so decent writing or character development. Verdict: it was hella adequate. Cartoons are for kids anyway, right? Listen to the whole shebang below.
- Alcohol math! This is important, so pay attention. Bud Light is 4.2% ABV, so a bottle is just over 0.5 oz of alcohol (12 x 0.042 = 0.504). A 1.5 oz shot of 80 proof liquor is 0.6 oz of alcohol (1.5 x 0.4 = 0.6). There is never an excuse to drink Bud Light.
