Episode 29 – Spam is hard to portmanteau

We’ve been saying a lot about food in recent podcasts. That’s probably not the nerdiest topic, but there it is. However, we’ve done it so much so that a listener actually sent us a can of Spam since Megan had never had it before. So we cooked it and we ate it and recorded the whole salted affair for you. Thankfully we then got distracted by other topics (mostly music) and moved on. Though it still wasn’t very nerdy. Next time around we’ll talk about games, alright?

dorkadiapodcastFor the record, we enjoyed a lovely can of Spam with 25% less sodium. We had no idea that there were so many varieties of Spam.

Jon’s first concert as an adult was seeing Jack’s Mannequin, which nobody else had ever heard of. Come on, they even have a MySpace page!

Napster is now part of Rhapsody… so it’s really nothing like Napster anymore.

If you ever listened to Schoolhouse Rock when you were young, just go buy Schoolhouse Rock Rocks right now. It’s cool, we’ll wait.

Megan was correct that Miller sponsored the MGD Blind Date concert series.

Check out Nat’s remix of Schala Ancients from Chrono Trigger.

Charles is so old that he owned a Commodore VIC-20. Isn’t that thing glorious?

That Seahawks parade was crazy. It drew in about 700,000 people according to USA Today.
